Two regional hospitals have been recognized for employee friendly practices.


Columbus Regional Hospital and Schneck Medical Center were named by Indiana Chamber of Commerce among the state’s best places to work.


Jim Bickel, chief executive officer of Columbus Regional Hospital, said, “Being a best place to work is one of our core values, and we work hard at it every day.
 

“We know that in order to have the best care and service for our patients, it is important to have strong employee engagement and satisfaction. This is certainly an honor for our employees to be named for the fifth-straight year as one of Indiana’s Best Places to Work.”


According to the Chamber, the program “honors the top companies in the state, as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys.”


Steps to success
CRH said it has improved its work environment through steps including:
Open and honest communication.
Celebrating the accomplishments of its work force Competitive benefits package                                     Focusing on work/life balance                                       Valuing the input of its work force.

Final rankings of state’s top businesses will be announced May 6. “These 70 companies are among the state’s first-rate employers who take pride in creating an environment that allows workers to feel respected and be productive; they also recognize how this then helps the company be successful and reach its goals,” said Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar.
